One for Mike

This is what you do with a light box when you stop having negatives to look at.

That Camelia Again

Same flower as the other day, but new lens, and later in the week.

And just a good flower.

New Lens - a quick trial

Tokina 35mm f2.8 macro for Nikon DX

For the first time in ages I have a macro lens, and am having to re-learn things like how shallow my depth of field is.

But sometimes shallow is good, as above.

But this one needed more depth of field.

Is this what people mean by nice bokeh?

Sun Sets Over Cisco

Camelia, but which one?

Yes, three seeminly identical photos of the same flower. One was taken with a flash (middle I believe). I am having a disagreement with my friend over which one is the best. I like the center on mostly, and she prefers the top. I find the left edge of the top one a little soft and bleached, but she claims that thre is more visible detail.

I know neither of us is wrong, but I thought others would like to weigh in and comment, or at least question themselves.
